I have an extensive set of skills that are available to support the needs of my clients. For the semiconductor industry, these include detailed understanding of manufacturing processes, devices, systems, workflow, and business practices. On a more general level, programming for the desktop environment in C/C++, MFC, HTML, and Visual Basic are available. The actual service is really problem solving. This can be the implementation of a defined solution, the evaluation of a problem and recommendation of a solution, or the entire process. For projects beyond the capabilities of a single consultant, I have worked with other consultants in arrangements satisfactory to the client.
From the picture, (me at the top of Mather Pass) you can see that I enjoy a challenge. This includes the challenge of dealing with those nasty problems that are are outside the responsibility of any one department, but need the support of several to succeed.
My educational background includes a Engineering B.S. from the California Institute of Technology and an MSEE/Solid State Physics from the University of Southern California plus a number of programming courses from UCSC extension. This has been augmented with over two decades of experience as engineer and manager in the semiconductor industry, over six years of consulting experience, and experience as a software development engineer.
